Downsizing & next level up

In order to reach the next level up quite often people have to downsize. It is almost a preparation for the next and also for the best. Visionaries and gifted strategists have always known by heart how to do so. They somehow know that if their goal is to achieve something great they sometimes need to refrain, take a step down, reduce risks, make an effort and then capture not the next-best, but nothing less than the best one. In addition, the intriguing factor is that the best one will always be a desire to achieve more and better than the status quo. It is human nature not to be completely satisfied, and it has been good in a sense of accomplishment and development. Some people feel it in a different way, as a wrong way of behaving. Although it is a matter of when and why, and crucially how to act in order to perform better and better or to fulfill more and more.

Technology itself has been built on this basis, exploring and taking advantage of unsatisfied human nature. In some fields or cases the process can be demanding and misunderstood, at least until is fully comprehended and then accepted as a natural way of having access to the very best next level up. It seems that took generations to understand and to incorporate this process into aspects of their daily life, but once they did it generations to come do not question it, they take it for granted instead. Therefore, every time we take something for granted without reasonable thinking we are risking losing control or being deceived. It works well when we decide consciously to live this way. On the other hand, it can be tricky and misleading every time we are unaware of it. The biggest mistake we make is to allow ourselves to go into the automatic mode with no vision of what is supposed to come next, or even worse with no desire to reach the next level up, but be pleased with the next-best believing that we are expected to comply and that is all.

Curiously, evolution often come from a desire to improve and a wish of accomplishing better results. Moreover, the path is often to keep risks at a lower level possible while optimising available resources to solve a problem, without damaging the previous achievements. It has not been an easy task as may seem, but is feasible. It is not suitable for all, but something designated for those who are born this way, unstoppable and curious. So is evolutionary process of thinking and researching. It has been and it will always be this way. Once we set a goal we also have to take into account resources arrangement that often leads us to a downsize process before stepping into the next level up. It is our duty to evolve and to keep it alive. It is our way forward, not necessarily a way out. It is a way within that enables us to higher levels of whatever we are in pursuit of or endorse. Downsizing should not be seem as a faulty or defeating step, but as a clever one instead. The next level up should not be considered as the great aim, but as a crucial step to improve what human nature is about. It is all about enjoying the process itself, gaining more skills and strength, again and again. A nip here and a tuck there, but still satisfactorily!
