Passport

A passport is needed if one is set to travel to foreign countries. Passport as an official document used to be only for people, but due to the global chain economy, product passport is in vogue. An official document able to prove the origin of materials or of the final product itself is something useful and relevant. A product passport is a powerful tool if one wants to check the way goods are produced and the way companies deal with resources. Passport control system is intended to guarantee the liability of those who issued it, as well as to foster a trusting business environment. Going abroad is not exclusive to people, that is something we have to bear in mind when buying and selling, or even consuming products in a global economy. There are goods crossing borders everywhere, and people should be aware of it.

Both personal and product passports are to prove the origin, the identity, the ownership, and to certify that the information is reliable. So, in order to comply with some standard set of rules institutions and countries agreed upon, a valid passport is crucial. Therefore, a forged or fake passport is also something to be concerned about. There is constantly room and need for security improvement. People and goods are now eligible to have passports to facilitate travelling and businesses, each holder having a particular piece of information, of course. Passports are issued on a good-faith basis to those who applied for it and were approved under the authorities’ scrutiny. In a connected world a passport is also, certainly, a passport to business success and cultural freedom. People or products travelling on certain passports are an asset, for sure!
